We needed a blow out on the road. True, the Chips are off of their best year. But they had won two, it was senior night, and the Flashes were down. Ugly could have happened.

It seemes like the team we always knew was in there somewhere came out the second half. It is especially gratifying for Haynes to have a monster game...maybe he's up from his nap and not a minute to soon.

This sets us up well for Saturday.

This would make the third straight year Haynes has shaken a mid season slump in the last week. I hope tonight was a sign. Nelson is the MAC's leading scorer, and Haynes had a step on him the whole second half. When Haynes wakes up defensively his offensive game follows.

And what about Cutley...no, he can't shoot...but got 19 ugly points. And he creates a mess for a guy that "can't jump over two phone books."

Just hope that the team that came out for the second half tonight shows up for the rest of the season.

Good win. I had a bad feeling about the Chips but way to pull through.

Lets build on the momentum and take care of the Jr College from next door.

Nice win Kent State. I really thought we had a chance in this one after two nice wins at home but it was just not to be. You were too tough for us, especially in the second half when you shot 73% overall. We simply had no answer for your inside game early in the second half and when you started to hit everything from the outside as well it was all over.

And while you were running away with the game we were trying to find a new way to define the word "turnover." That was especially true of one of our better, young players - Sefton Barrett. He had nine turnovers alone. It was the same as our first game with you when we turned the ball over 24 times and give you 30 points off those mistakes.

In any event, it was a nice win for you on the road and a disappointing home loss for us. Oh well, maybe next year.

And I should add that I really liked the way your team played tonight. There was not a lot of emotion, just a very workman like performance. They came into our place, did what they had to do in order to win and left. I guess that's what it's all about.

This is exactly what we need to continue to do for the rest of the season. With the Zips big win tonight, our next three games are huge. Win them all and a three seed is attainable. 04-rock
