Okay guys, time to throw some stuff against the wall to see if it sticks. My best guess is a close Flashes win. My reasoning...

1. Home game with a big crowd on natl TV
2. Poor play of late is a motivating factor
3. This game means nothing and of course they will show up for it and tank next week when the cameras are off. 03-wink
4. I suspect Nate will play a bit more in order to get ready for the MAC run and take some pressure off of Warz.

Feel free to hammer my usual uneducated opinion. :D

Kent will jump out front 15-0 on 5 Jason Edwin 3-pointers.

SIU will respond with a 23-0 run when DeAndre Haynes commits 11 straight TOs.

Nate Gerwig will come off the bench and lead a 10-0 run when he is fouled 5 straight times in the paint.

SIU will respond with a 11-0 run when, on five straight possessions, Crenshaw, Cutley, Scott, Warz, and Gerwig turn the ball over.

Haynes will check back into the game and lead a 12-0 run, with he drives to the paint and dishes off the ball beautifully to Cutley, Scott and Warz twice each for dunks to bring the score Kent 37-34 at halftime.

During halftime, Dick Vitale will say that the MAC deserves 9 bids and say DeAndre Haynes in the best PG in the country. Digger Phelps will say that DeAndre Haynes is the worst.

The second half will feature a thugfest where almost every Kent and SIU player fouls out.

With the score 57-56 SIU leading, Brett Barlett will have his desperation 15-footer rejected, but it will bounce off the ref's head into the basket for a Kent win.

Or something like that.

The said ref would be none other than one of our two favorite alumni ref's from the Buffalo home game, right ? :D

Okay, bopol, so you're saying is that it will just be another MAC game typical of this season ?

I'll be positive and say KSU pulls this out at home, 58-55 in a thriller, that starts a little run to the MAC championship game which they lose and bow out 1st round in the NIT.

Say wqhat you want - I have a right to post my true thoughts. JC does not have the guys playing together and Haynes is in his own world. Against an aggressive team like SIU with great guards this will be a trouble point.

Edge SIU.

I said 82-67 and it was 65-54. I gave our offense too much credit and SIU was even more solid than expected. I fear our head coach and PG are in a battle of personal wills because the glares between the two are killer. Does not bode well to reach 20 again.

Decent effort yesterday, Flashes, but the Salukis are on cruise control now. Playing the best ball of the season since we beat Vandy and UTEP in Vegas. We're dancing unless we lose two of the next three in the regular season and then choke in the 1st round of our Tournament, Arch Madness.
