What are the odds Kent State will still receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament this Sunday? Surely the Golden lashes are much deserving with a respectable RPI and record.

***GET THIS* * * Our very own athletic director Laing Kennedy is on the ten-member NCAA Selection Committee. He's retiring after this season and has certainly built a lot of clout as a member of the committee.

What better way for the committee to honor his career than to get his program into the dance? He's obviously got some pull. Sure, it may be a long shot but what does everybody think?

I'd say the odds are about 1:100 or so. Kent is firmly behind very bubbly teams like Wichita State. I personally pulling for Wichita State as that would be best for all mid-majors (along with SD St and UNLV).

That pretty much sucked last night, but I am happy with this team in general. They are definitely better than I thought (probably somewhere in the 50s, whereas I thought it was more like 80s or 90s in the rankings) and they won the MAC outright. It'd be nice to make a run in the NIT just to make a point.

I believe when a particular school is brought up for debate by the committee, that school's AD is suppsed to leave the room. I'm extreamly doubtful, but I know I'll be watching even if the slimmest hope exist.

I like this team, but it is not worthy of an at-large bid given its competition. Kent needs the tournament to have 80 teams this year to get in.

our RPI dropped back to 47 after last night, OU moved up to 107. If you want to add to our slim hopes pull for the Bobcats in the tourney because if they run deep enough to get their RPI in the hundreds we don't get handed a bad loss for that game.

They really are a charmed team. I know their fans think they are a clutch team but really 3 last second wins in 6 games over 2 years. I can only remember one or two close games out of our 15 games the five years we won. I mean as in last shot close not 5 points.
