Why Not? Week Three- Toledo Predictions
This our toughest MAC game by far. It's on the road against one of the MAC's traditionally strong programs who is going to be looking for redemption this week. Our defense can play with them, but can our offense score?
So, my head says a Toledo win and it might be ugly. My heart, as always, hopes the Flashes can keep the Rockets scoreless and the defense can score enough points off of Toledo turnovers to win a squeeker.
Toledo's QB is supposed to be back this week after his concussion at Boise. Don't know how long he'll last after a few rounds with our sack machine.

I've seen Kent several games this season. Very impressed with the Defense. I don't think the Golden Flashes' Offense is that bad and shows some real potential. They been real close to breaking some big plays. I'm expecting a hard fought game this weekend.

I actually think we can go to UT and win this game. Our defense is playing great, and you may see an increased effort to establish a running game, taking some heat off of Spencer Keith. Second down and four, or five, is a whole lot better than second and nine, so you may see a greater emphasis on ball control. We have the offensive weapons, they just need to be put in a position to succeed! For some reason, I really believe in this team, despite what we witnessed in Oxford. GO FLASHES, and bring home a victory! You never know, one solid effort against a pretty decent UT team, could spur KSU on to great things the rest of the season!

Kent State 14 - UT 10, with one of those td's being at the hands of a defender.

I predict Kent wins via forfeit after Toledo loses the coin toss and refuses to play.

UT is going to beat us. Hopefully nobody calls me a hater. I am and have always been a realist. Rockets win 31-16. I figure we struggle to run early and then quit trying. Keith has another subpar performance, and for those who think our defense will score......do you realize last week was the first defensive TD since 2006? We beat a bad Akron team, but we also lost to a crappy Miami team and our QB has shown no ability to perform at a winning level this year. Until they prove differently, we are still Kent State football.

Vegas has us as 3.5 point underdogs, I'm with danny in not trying to be a hater, but doesn't that seem really low?

Actually, Kent State opened as a 1 point favorite, and now one line has Toledo favored by 4. Most lines are 3.5. I wonder just how much "action" there is on MAC games? With little action, just a few betters could really change the line.

Toledo games have a lot of betting going on.

I will be very impressed if we win. Realistically though, I think UT wins this game 17-13. Until our O can show some type of a running game I'm not sure we can score more than this without a lot of help from our D and STs.

Neither defense has shown up to play yet. Either that or the offenses were beyond ready. 14-0 Kent with Toledo driving.

Touchdown Kent 21-7. Setup by a short field and a nice play from Kirkland.

RE: Why Not? Week Three- Toledo Predictions
SHOCKER. Martin gets outcoached. Halftime adjustments and Toledo outscores us 17-0 in the 3rd qtr. Not sure if Keith has even completed a pass in the 2nd half. 7 min left to save the season, as IMO a loss ends it. And then we cough up the ball. Freaking unreal.

RE: Why Not? Week Three- Toledo Predictions
The QB isn't hitting his passes, a RB fumbles the ball away on our own 9 and a DB takes an idiotic penalty to turn 4th and long into a 1st down and TD that started the huge turnaround....yes, certainly sounds like it's all Martin's fault to me.
