They are now 1-8 and have lost 3 out of 4 home games. Two of them by double digits the other by 8. The more I watch the more I think this team will not be like the Gibson/Shields/Harris bunch of freshman that continued to get better and with a couple pieces added along the way at least became a 20-10 type of team capable of an upset. This team has 6 freshman but really plays only two of them (Hull did play 19 minutes today but that was the first time she got significant minutes). It relys on 4 relatively competent but very average juniors to play the wings and center position. The freshman wings have not impressed since the first game and I can see Lindsey starting to lose confirence in them. If there ever was a time to let them learn from experience it would be know and he seems to be reluctant to give them very many minutes. I think he threw Hull out there today to send them a message and she did fairly well. But at 5'3" she will only be a role p[layer at best.
The only player that still impresses me is Llobet from Spain but I worry she might be next years player to leave. Anyway unless they start to show some improvement, this will be my last post of the year. I have never been so discouraged with a Kent basketball team in the last 20 years.
