Coach A has taken the wrestling program from run-of-the-mill to a top 20 program in the 9 years he has been the head coach. With a little more time/effort, there is no reason why it can't be top 10. KSU wrestlers are not just doing well on the mats, but also in the classroom. Great job!

Great that he got the extension. I hope we don't let this guy go. What do you think about Sunday? I would really like to see them beat CMU and follow it up with a win in th MAC tournament.

I don't think Coach A would want to leave. However, Coach Moore was 1 of 2 finalists for the head job at Clarion this summer. KSU better keep him here because he has really helped at the lighter weights.

As for Sunday's match against CMU, they will come to wrestle because that's how they are. It will be tight and I wouldn't be surprised if it came down to 1 match. CMU has a young squad with numerous wrestlers that were multiple state champions in high school. Our experience, however, will prevail. Here's my "educated" prediction.

125 - Bedelyon beat Roth earlier this year and should do so again. KSU 3 CMU 0
133 - I think Mitcheff will get the nod for KSU. CMU will have either Horan or Kesselring. I think CMU will win a close one. KSU 3 CMU 3
141 - Small will beat Mattingly. KSU 6 CMU 3
149 - Miller will get bonus against Kielbasa. KSU 10 CMU 3
157 - Another very close one with Shuster losing to Corby in OT KSU 10 CMU 6
165 - Tice wins against Ottinger. Yes, another tight one. KSU 13 CMU 6
174 - Johnson finally doesn't have to wrestle against a top 20 opponent and gets the win. KSU 16 CMU 6
184 - Bennet (reminds me of Kilgore) beats Newburg with bonus. KSU 16 CMU 10
197 - Witt beat Friend earlier in the season and can do so again. KSU 19 CMU 10
285 - Sturgeon beats Barlow again. KSU 19 CMU 13
