Womens Basketball Recruits
They have actually announced a point guard and center signing. Both high school grads. It's sure nice to see some players coming into the program. Hopefully we found a couple of contributors.

Pretty good info on the guard Mendelsohn:

But not a lot to go on with the center Bachman except that she is 6'2" and is a three-sport athlete. Maybe she can tryout for the golf and volleyball teams as well:

Still, it's nice to have a couple of new faces on the roster who can lend a hand.

Great to see a coach working the country for talent. My guess is, she is a hard worker.

Great signs by the Golden Flashes.....strange that Bachman is being included as a "new" signee when she signed for Lindsay and Bodnar back in November. I'm sure it's just a mistake and I'm only being negative....

Agree with GF68. Danny is not only a hard worker, but a classy representative of KSU.

You arent being negative there and previously you definitely had a negative agenda/tone for many of your posts. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and only time will tell to see who is right and who is wrong (Martin firing and Hazell hiring, Conley/Lindsay let go and replaced by OBanion & Gramala, athletic dept staff changes, etc.)
Did she actually sign a letter of intent or verbal in the fall? There were other recruits who Lindsay/Bodnar "signed" who didn't stay committed to KSU (I remember the best 1 went to BG & I think another went to Toledo). Maybe it took this long for the new coaching staff to get to recommit or commit to KSU.

Are both the PG & C coming to KSU for this season or next?

If she can walk into a room with a smile on her face, that will be a big plus.

RE: Womens Basketball Recruits
Christian was nothing compared to Lindsay. The man could coach but he had trouble relating. I remember when Studer, Nance and Beggs were honored at Seniors day. He tried very hard to show how much he appreciated them. After all they never lost a home game (maybe 1) but he just could not get it across. I felt bad for the guy. I'm sure most of his players figured out he did care, but I'm sure the less mature ones were the eventual cause of his demise. It's too bad he couldn't get over that issue but he just had problems with it.

At banquets and speaking events, Christian was very personable and would crack jokes and smiles. Never saw Lindsay relate. I am not talking about game faces. I can handle the no nonsense approach at the game.

And yet he recruited until the last several years. It would havr been interesting to be a fly on the wall of one of his home visits.

He was always nice to me in the limited one-on-one contact i had with him. But personable he was not.

RE: Womens Basketball Recruits
Yes he was a decent guy and the few times I spoke with him I would have to agree he seemed fine. But the personality needed for a womens team, especially in this day and age, just wasn't there. I don't for one minute think he watched Zona collapse on the floor during practice and ignored her. Same with Rubis and her complaints. He just recruited a bunch of bad apples and that with his lack of charisma just started to snowball. However that's life. If you can't adjust, your going to be replaced.

Heard from somebody on the inside that the list of recruits has grown longer with the addition of 7 guards and two current upperclassmen leaving.....no names, can't find any yet.
