Dambrot gets a "big" transfer from WVU, comes with baggage
A friend sent this link to the zits message board about this transfer that Dambrot just secured. The main reason I am posting this it to show the double standard, KSU takes a transfer with baggage and they are all over KSU, Akron takes a transfer with baggage and it is no big deal. Looks like they have found Zeke's replacement. :(

It appears as if 6'11" 255lb WVU Center Pat Forsythe will be transferring to play for Akron on scholarship. he's a redshirt freshman and i'm pretty sure he doesn't have to sit out a year thanks to a hardship waiver from the NCAA. He played his high school @ Brunswick OH.

Hahaha don't get too scared. I have friends who went to school with him and say he's horrible, just tall. And he's nowhere near the smartest person they've ever met to put it somewhat nicer.

Oh, I am not scared, but he must be doing something right to get a scholarship from West Virginia, headed by Bob Huggins/staff and consistently in the top half of the Big East. Plus he is a local kid, which could put more butts in the seats @ the JAR. 6'11" in the MAC can dominate.

We will wait and see how it plays out. It was more pointing out that once again Akron fans have the double standard.

Akron signed him to a 10 year contract today worth $400,000 per year. He gets bonuses for Mac championships, nit appearances and NCAA appearances. Only Christian gets more at $425,000 per the ABJ.

Cool. Dr. Dre is coaching basketball at KSU! Whodathunk?

Seriously, big welcome to one of the best clutch players we ever had. I was sitting about 50 feet away from him when he hit a 30+ footer at the buzzer to beat IPFW in Ft. Wayne at the Coliseum.

Ax i was at that game to. I'll never forget the play called to get that shot as i thought it was JC at his finest. We had full length of court to go. Dre had ball to right of basket throws to another player who was out of bounds. the natural reaction of the guy guarding dre and guy guarding guy going out of bounds is to stay with the ball. Dre runs to midcourt where inbounder threw to him and he takes a few dribbles and lets it fly. Obviously you dont remember it if it doesnt go in but i thought it was brilliant XO on JC's part to go full court in 3 seconds and get a good look.

Yeah, we'll overlook how that game should never have come down to our needing that shot. Because that shot went in, all was good! 04-cheers
