Two of them directly relate to Kent State.
1. Roosevelt Nix will be the MAC Defensive Player of the Year. The man is a wrecking ball.
2. Kent State is one of the more interesting "sleeper" teams and could easily make a bowl game and finish second in the division.

I agree 100% percent about Nix. I also would say that KSU is definitely a sleeper in the East. The one thing that concerns me, however, is the schedule. I actually just renewed my season tix today and looked over the schedule for the first time in detail.
The overall verdict in my eyes is not good:
-bye on the 3rd Week????? Thats pretty lame. wayy to early on in the year to waste that
-Only 2/6 home games to start the year..ouch
-Catching Army on a very bad year as usually it's a pretty competive game (on paper at least)- from what I hear this is the best team they've had in quite awhile.
-Pulled Western Mich out of the West- like Army this is supposed to be one of the better teams they've had after a few down years
-Miami & Bowling Green on the road to close the year.
I was liking our chances when Temple left, but it's definitely gonna be a tough road with this schedule. Hopefully, we can get something cooking early on and keep it going into the fall!
