Given their absences from the rankings, I think it is safe to say that Miller and Small are taking redshirts.

Yeah it sure would seem that way, but during the football game Andrassy said that he still hadn't made up his mind and that he would do what was best for the individual/Kent State Wrestling.....

I caught that too, GoFlashes. But I also think it's telling the 2012-13 wrestling schedule posters are out and neither Ian nor Tyler are anywhere to be found. I personally think it is 110 percent the right move for both of them, just not sure what's gained by keeping it secret so long.

The ranking sure look different with Missouri in there. I suppose we will never win the MAC tournament now. Why didn't they red shirt Small and Miller last year? They would sure look good along with Kilgore this year. Was it a mistake to wrestle them last year or is that fairly common in college wrestling?

They didn't redshirt them last year because everyone knew CMU was redshirting two of its major point-scorers. And if you were ever going to win both the MAC dual meet title and tournament title, it was going to be last year. So you can't blame Kent for loading up and going for it.

And of course we all know how that turned out.

Don't remind us. I was just about over it...
