Calls 2004 team potentialy the best in 30 years

Dean recalls things differently than I do, though. I could have sworn we opened up with a victory over Akron last year, beating them
<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>41-37</span> on a Travis Mayle field goal with no time left. Mayle was set up on a beautiful punt return by Jon Drager in his first game as a Flash. It capped a furious come back by the Flashes, who were down by 14 points with under 3:00 minutes to go.
But I'm sure my memory is foggy on this one.

Does this mean we didn't blow a ten point second half lead to Ball State at Homecoming?

I'm glad in Dean's mind we were contenders last year. He may be alone in this opinion. But hope he's right about 2004, because I actually remember how good this program was 30 years ago. This means he thinks we have some team coming up.

Bottom line, good luck to Coach Pees and go get 'em Flashes!

Revising history is not uncommon these days. My memory is not consistent with Deans. I am glad that he is in New England and wish him well. He is where he should be, being an assistant coach in a program with a very good head coach.
