It's not that I didn't expect it, but is anyone else a little dispointed by a 5th place pick? However, they always seem to underestimate the Flashes in b-ball and things work out a little differently don't they... :D

It all comes down to an improved D and keeping Cribbs and Alston healthy. Based on those things, a winning season is not out of the realm of possibility with OU, UB, Liberty, and crossovers with CMU and EMU on the schedule. I also think that Rutgers is a winable game.

My fearless prediction: 7-4 (8-3 if we get very lucky/ 6-5 if we catch a few bad breaks)

Wins: Liberty, CMU, Ohio, Buffalo, Eastern

Will win two of: Rutgers, Akron, UCF

Will Probably lose: Miami, Marshall

Will most likely lose: Iowa

I feel very comfortable saying this will be another winning season.

I would throw CMU into that "maybe" category. With their new coach, I think that they will turn the corner. Anything less than 6-5 would be a disappointment.

I think that this article says all we need to know about what coach and the players think of the predictions. We may be in for a new era of Kent State football. The last line says it all:

I love the attitude. Believe I posted the response from Martin when I sent him the posrings from the MAC board saying without Cribbs, we would be a disaster. Remember those? He actually seemed to be mad. This is a good sign, Flash fans.
