Laing Kennedy @ City Club
Did anyone else attend Laing's talk today at the City Club in Cleveland? He didn't share anything earth shattering, but it's obvious we're going to miss him. Very good man, very good AD. He will be difficult to replace.

That is an understatement. The only positive that someone new is going to bring is a young energy that LK no longer has. Otherwise, they will be playing catch-up as one of the great AD's calls it a career.

I was at the City Club too. Laing was his usual witty, classy self. He has elevated the performance level of athletics at KSU and helped many athletes through his personal relationship with them. Laing's "counseling" has had a big impact on many players, Chris Sing being one of the most noteworthy. Laing is leaving KSU in much better shape than when he took over.

He's had a big impact on Tyree Evans as well. He was the first in about 3 or 4 AD's who believed in Tyree and he has been rewarded by 2 years of Evans making no off the court headlines.
