A little love from ESPN's Pat Forde
It's nice to finally see someone from ESPN appreciate what Kent State has done this year:

Ryan (Michigan)
Who is the best major not named Gonzaga New Mexico or Butler?

Pat Forde (3:21 PM)
Ryan: Mid-major, you mean? (Which, truth be told, it's not fair to call those teams mid-majors.) But, let's say, outside the big-six conferences. Well, Xavier, Temple and Richmond are all really good. In terms of true sleepers, though, I loved what I saw from Kent State last Friday night.

And...

MAC
Top seed: Kent State
Dark horse: Miami (Ohio). Veteran coach Charlie Coles shouldn't be underestimated, and his RedHawks did split with the Golden Flashes during the regular season.
Winner: Kent State (31). If Kent plays the way it did at Akron last week to clinch the regular-season title and No. 1 seed, it will dominate this tournament and win at least one game in the NCAAs. That was a brilliant performance.

Hopefully that was the continuation of good play and not just the great before the letdown. We shall see tomorrow.

Like I keep saying, we would win this thing on all accounts. The thing with this tournament is things easily end up not working for a top seed.
