Flashes move to 6-1 even though it was a struggle. Football team ended the season with a nice win over the Bobcats, pretty much ruining their season (knocking them out of the MAC title game).

I am somewhat embarrassed by the fact that OU was voted preseason MAC favorite. They are looking like the same terrible team they were last year. Tonight they went 0-19 from three point range. Seriously, 0-19.

Ohio University makes me 03-puke

The kid from Canton tonight was unbelievable! I think he went over forty! But, we still won!! Great job! Also, outstanding performance by the football team! Wish we could have done that more this season!!02-13-banana

McCollum went for 42. Need more balance to beat the Flashes though!

Let's see general ludendorf after the first day of the battle of amians said it was the "black day of the german army". I think yesterday was the black day of the ohio athletic program(speaking as a ohio fan).I knew ohio would get blown out but that is about as bad as it gets. I agree why was ohio picked first? They were blown out at home by oakland and had trouble with walsh in an exibition as well as troubles in their other games. Sometimes the people picking don't really know the mac and just go off the previous years results which if you checked wern't that good. Ohio was only a .500 team that just hit a hot streak. Good luck kent state.

I am only embarrassed because that is what people judge our conference on. "Ohio U who was picked to win the MAC - yada yada yada".

Your right the people who pick the MAC don't pay any attention. They got on Ohio's band wagon because of 4 games in March and I bet half of them didn't even consider that Basset left during the summer. It really isn't that much better for conferences like the Big 10. They just look who lost the most starters and how many top 50 freshman they brought in. In the MAC's case the freshman aren't even relevant since all teams have a grand total of zero in that category. Heck I remember when Elton said the Kent women were going to get worse because there point guard graduated. Zerman played about 5 games as a freshman as the 2 guard and then switched to the point for the next 25 games. He did not even notice. They remind me a little of the old psychic Jeanne Dixon who predicted the Kennedy murder and then never got anything else right for 40 years. That one lucky guess got her a 40 year career. Maybe all the current predictors picked Villanova to win the NCAA that one year. I know most of us could handicap the MAC better but we just don't have the reputation to get it published.
