Dark horse for new coach?
Kent might do well to take long look at Paul Winters, currently head coach at Wayne State University.

He played at Akron and coached there (twice) so he knows the area. Also coached at Toledo and Wisconsin under Barry Alvarez.

Most recently he rebuilt Wayne State, including 9-2 this year. No easy task because Wayne is a high-academic school, is in Detroit, and plays in same league as perennial D-II national power Grand Valley.

The five years prior to his arrival Wayne was 13-40. His first two years were 1-9, 3-7. Since then the Warriors have gone 32-23.
