RE: Kent State @ Miami University
I thought the huge difference in the game was Kent taking the foot off the gas offensively. For the first 15 minutes, Kent could get close to the basket basically whenever they wanted. I think it was more Kent stopped trying to do this than Miami stepping up their defense (but certainly, Miami's defense deserves some credit for how they held Kent during their 14-0 run or whatever it was). Another difference was Miami starting having Roberts run the point. I was very scared about that. He's a confident, young player. Sometimes his confidence gets him in to huge trouble, other times it leads to him making huge plays. It just kind of depends.
What I said about Rod was more down the stretch - he absolutely killed us in the first half. The more casual Miami fans with me thought Rod was Kent's key offensive player rather than Greene early on.
I'll give a few more thoughts in the morning. Miami has some highlights available - sadly they're only of the good plays by Miami, but if you want to see those: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7UASyevWFY

When you go up by 13, you need to stay focused and stop putting the ball up so quickly. I haven't given up but I am looking at this team differently. If we had to lose, I would rather have lost at Western.
Yep. And you would think that if Henninger is only going to get 2 minutes off the bench that the reason was to step on Miami's throat. Maybe the problem is that KSU has a young bench. Gaines and Henninger just don't quite know what it takes to put somebody away. AH FRIGGIN WELL. I'm starting a Drexel thread now.
