This one will be a 15 pt. win for the Flashes, I do not see the Paladins being able to match the physical play of the Flashes

RE: Furman Game
DC had a story in the R-C today. They return not only all 5 starters, but all letter-winners from last season. They also were a poor SoCon team last season, but have higher hopes this season.

Flashes by 15.

Is this frickin' "Amateur Hour"??? I'm listening online to WNIR, and as usual they lose the broadcast. So, I switch to the K-Zone and they give me the Furman broadcasters on audio.

It's a joke. I'm gonna talk to the powers that be on Monday, because it's crap. I had this very talk with Joel Nielsen at a dinner this summer.

Did WNIR interrupt the broadcast again with elevator music? They did that a lot during the games at CSU.

RE: Furman Game
Until Kent State can find someone who can makes some 3s and get the occasional defensive rebound, there are going to continue to be games like this. But hey, at least the team should have no problem playing close games in MAC play.

Also just noticed that Furman beat UNC-Asheville who beat Auburn. Hopefully, that means Furman will be in the top half of a solid mid-major league.

RE: Furman Game
How many double digit leads are they going to blow this year? Are they just losing intensity when up by that much or are they changing the game plan?

RE: Furman Game
I remember a series of close wins like this in 2008. But not many of those were double-digit leads at halfitime.

RE: Furman Game
Nice to escape with the win but our ability to handle the zone worries me. When they switched to the zone in the second half we stopped pounding it to Greene which enabled the come back. A little 3 point shooting would help beat the zone too.

Technical fouls rear their ugly head yet again. Anyone know who dunked in the pregame? Glad that didn't come back to bite us.

One last thing, does anyone know Grimsley's status with the team? He has not been on the bench in either of the last two games.

Gaines dunked pre game. Grimsley is transferring.

RE: Furman Game
Thanks FlashFan, hopefully Gaines learns from that. Hopefully Kent can fill Grimsley's scholarship with a shooter next year. Also, I really hope Nealy is back soon. With how we looked tonight on the glass we could use him ASAP. No excuse for getting beat on the boards when we have a clear size and athleticism advantage. They simply out worked us on the glass in the second half.
